Summer Internship and Exchange Program Schedule:
Inclusion of program fee:
The internship program and visa handling is coordinated by HKCareers's associated company, Alpha Rios Recruitment.
^1. SIM Card contains 30 days of Data and Mobile Plan
^2. Oyster Card with top up value of £5
^3. Students will stay in Twin Room with another internship participant. Meals (2 meals per day) will be served at the standard twin room, but subject to changes. Single Room or Ensuite Single Room will be provided with extra costs
^4. Social Activities contains Cruise Lunch/ High Tea, Opera Ticket, Farewell Dinner
Exclusions from Program Fee*:
1. Daily Expenses and Personal Insurance
2. Visa Application/ Visa Related Fee (This fee is excluded from all internship program organisers)

Visa and Requirement (Internship and Visa handling is coordinated HKCareers's associated company by Alpha Rios Recruitment)
All Non-EU nationals can apply for Tier-5 (Government Authorised Exchange) with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) issued by BUNAC. Below are the requirements for the CoS and Visa:

Be 18 years of age or over.

Be currently registered as a full-time student on an undergraduate or graduate course or have graduated within the last 12 months.

Achieve IELTS test scores of a 6.0 or higher.

Be able to support yourself financially for the duration of your internship (£945 for a 90 day period)

The total cost of the visa, CoS (£679) and the visa (£259) is not included in the program fee. Applicants may be required to present the Tuberculosis (TB) test results for visa application.
Nationals from Hong Kong*, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Monaco, Japan, Taiwan, Republic of Korea*, and overseas British territories (BNO) can also apply for Tier-5 (Youth Mobility Scheme). Below are the requirements for the Visa:

Be 18 years of age or over.

Be able to support yourself financially for the duration of your internship (£1,890 for a 90 day period).

Pay the healthcare surcharge £600 to the UK Gov as part of the visa application. You may do surcharge calculation here.

The cost of the visa is around £244 and is not included in the program fee. Applicants may be required to present the Tuberculosis (TB) test results for visa application.
Remarks: The application for Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for HKSAR Passport holder will open in Spring every year.
For most EU and BN (British National) nationals, visa is not required to enter into an internship in London.

2 Guarantees to ensure the internship quality:
1) You will be assigned a direct supervisor where you can receive feedback constantly.
2) We will consolidate your feedback in the first 2 weeks of internship and reflect to your supervisors so they can assign relevant and valuable tasks.
Accommodation

A basic hostel in Zone 1/2 will be arranged. Participants will stay in a shared-room with another student of same sex.
There are wardrobe, drawers and a shared sink with shaving/vanity unit in the room.

Students can upgrade to single room/ ensuite single room (without meals served) with an extra cost. Please contact our staff at janice@hkcareers.hk for quotation.
Social Events
On the first weekend, Students will either attend the welcome activity - Cruise Lunch/ British Afternoon tea/ Walking Tour around Central London.
From time to time, students may join events such as Bowling, Karaoke Night, Opera Night and so on to experience the British Culture.
In the last week of internship, students will enjoy good cuisines as farewell.
